The Global Citizen Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate the public about our need to engage in new economic practices — as consumers, businesses, and communities — that are environmentally sustainable and socially just. These principles are embodied in the Green Economy.

The Global Citizen Center will take the shape of a large mixed-use LEED-certified building that will include green retail, office space for nonprofits and socially responsible companies, event space, affordable housing for teachers, and an eco-gym that will help power the building, among other features.  Click on the links below to download the architectural drawings for the current site we are pursuing in San Francisco and the detailed proposal for the Center.  The 36,000 square foot vacant lot at 1950 Mission St. is owned by the San Francisco Unified School District, so we are proposing a combination of 69 units of affordable housing for teachers and a green community development center where the teachers can learn about the green economy and then take that knowledge into the school system.
