Michael Simmons is co-founder and Principal of Paramount Development Group. Mr. Simmons has over 15 years of experience in real estate development and specialized in project management and delivery from due diligence through construction. His experience includes both for-profit and affordable residential projects as well as commercial and institutional developments.
Prior to starting the Paramount Development Group, Mr. Simmons was the
president of Michael Simmons Property Development, Inc. (MSPDI), a real
estate development and consulting firm. Providing project management
and planning services, Mr. Simmons managed the development and planning
of over 600 residential units and 200,000 square feet of commercial and
institutional building. Most recently he completed the 150,000 square
foot California Endowment headquarters and conference center where he
represented the owner in site selection, acquisition, programming,
design, entitlements and construction start. Prior to starting MSPDI,
Michael worked as executive director of San Francisco Housing
Development Corporation, a nonprofit that focused on rental and
ownership housing.
Michael earned a MBA from the University of California at Berkeley with
a focus in real estate. He also holds a B.S. from Boston University.
Michael has served on several boards and committees including Episcopal
Community Services Agency, the NAMES Project Foundation and the Mission
Bay Citizen’s Advisory Committee.
