Mujahid M. Abdullah is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Sustainable Capital, LLC. Sustainable Capital is a boutique investment bank providing advisory services to Clean Technology startups and social enterprises. The Firm also designs and structures Energy-efficient/Resource-efficient financial instruments (Green mortgages, Green Small Business loans, etc.).
Mr. Abdullah has over fifteen years of finance and consulting
experience. As an Investment Banker on Wall Street, Mr. Abdullah
structured fixed-income instruments for Fortune 100 companies. As a
Venture Capitalist in Silicon Valley, Mr. Abdullah conducted
quantitative and qualitative analysis on startup enterprises. Mr.
Abdullah’s sector focus was Nanotechnology. Previously, Mr. Abdullah
developed the strategy and structure for a venture capital fund to
assist the Gambian government in financing petroleum extraction
operations in its territorial waters. The fund’s goal was to invest the
Gambian government’s future petroleum revenues into West African-based
social ventures (infrastructure works, healthcare facilities, small to
medium-sized enterprises).
Mr. Abdullah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University.
