Kevin Danaher: Executive Director PDF Print E-mail

Dr. Kevin Danaher is the Executive Director of the Global Citizen Center. In this capacity, Dr. Danaher is responsible for establishing and developing the Center's overall vision. In 1988, he co-founded Global Exchange, an international human rights organization whose present annual operating budget is approximately $9MM. In addition to Global Exchange, Dr. Danaher launched and served as the initial board chair of TransFair, USA, and international fair trade organization whose certifications have established national benchmarks for domestically distributed coffee and cocoa products. His latest book, Building the Green Economy: Success Stories from the Grassroots, is available at www.globalexchange.org

Lou CasaBianca: Operations Director PDF Print E-mail
Lou CasaBianca is the Operations Director of the Global Citizen Center. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing and managing the Center's sustainability strategy, media, educational and community outreach efforts. A Sausalito-based writer, producer and social ecopreneur, Lou provides a unique visionary and triple net (people + planet + profit) value-added sustainability perspective to his work. In 1988, he edited and co-published HyperMedia Magazine and subsequently New Media Magazine, the first periodicals to predict and serve the needs of the emerging new media and Web development communities. He is the author or co-author of the Digital Video Handbook; the CD ROM Yearbook; and the NewTV, the Comprehensive Survey of High Definition Television. He provides pro bono media and technology consulting services to the Centro de Desarrollo Integral and Novus Galapagos, in Ecuador; the Indigenous People's University of Ecuador; and the Sierra Club, among others. He sees the current global economic challenges as new pardigm opportunities to move the Global Citizen Center's community building projects to the next level of design, funding and physical building in 2010.

In this capacity, Mr. Leibsohn is responsible for all aspects of the Center's financial planning and the development of its financing strategies. Mr. Leibsohn is an experienced community development executive and an innovator in low-income real estate lending. He was President, Executive Director, and Founder of the Low Income Housing Fund (now Low Income Investment Fund), which currently has in excess of $100MM under management. Mr. Leibsohn currently maintains an active management role in Community Development Finance, a nonprofit financial and research organization.

Kirsten Moller is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Global Exchange, a membership-based international human rights organization dedicated to promoting social, economic and environmental justice around the world. In her capacity as Executive Director, Ms. Moller is responsible for a staff of 48 and a budget of $7.5 million. Since its founding in 1988, Ms. Moller has been instrumental in growing the membership and programs of Global Exchange. She developed Global Exchange branches in Washington, DC, South Africa, Haiti, Honduras and Cuba, and oversees the organization’s political, civil rights, social and economic rights campaigns, the Fair Trade Program, Reality Tours, and the Public Education Program.

Greg Roberts is co-creator of the Green Festival, and since 2002 he has produced the event in San Francisco, Austin, and Washington, DC. He currently serves as the Festival’s Producer and Strategic Business Development Director. In addition to the Green Festival, Mr. Roberts has been involved with a number of other Green and progressive events. He has been the Sponsorship Manager for SolFest from 2003-2005 and he co-created and produces the Co-op America Green Business Conference.
